My dear friend Melissa is getting married next week in California, and she asked me to do her place cards and table names. I've enjoyed practicing my calligraphy and being able to help out for the wedding even from across the country.In other news, New York is having a heat wave: high 90s to 100 degree temps + sticky humidity. My poor little window AC was on full blast last night, and couldn't cool the bedroom below 82 or so. Unlike California, summer nights in New York don't dip down to the much-more-pleasant 60s but like to hover around a balmy 80 (75 if you are lucky).
Yesterday, I made some pudding pops and turned on every fan in the apartment. Oh, how I miss the pool in my backyard! I'll be sure to pay it a visit next week.
